Money in Politics

Did you know that the education industry has donated more money to federal politics than the oil and gas industry, and the drug-makers? And unfortunately, it's no surprise that 92% of the monies from the NEA, and 97% of the monies from the American Federation of Teachers, were donated for liberal candidates.

Those figures come from the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), a non-profit, non-partisan research group that tracks campaign finance and the influence of money on elections. They accept no contributions from businesses or labor unions. Some of their stats go back to 1990.

Take some time to look over the numbers. You may be surprised to find out who has been giving how much, and to whom.

Pack a snack. There's a lot of data available.
